Doodle Rush
Designed by: Adam Porter
Doodle Rush is a fast-paced drawing game that lasts exactly six minutes!
Each player has a pen and six small drawing boards. Everyone is dealt two word cards, each with three words on (yellow side easy, purple side difficult). They must not reveal these cards to the other players! A timer is flipped over and the first round starts: everyone has a minute to draw as many of the words as they can, using a different board for each different word. As soon as the timer runs out, it’s flipped over again and immediately, a guessing round starts. Everyone is trying to guess everyone else’ words, whilst at the same time listening out for anyone guessing their own words accurately.
As soon as that minute is up, the timer is flipped again and a second drawing round starts – players can make changes to their un-guessed drawings or simply rub them out and start again. Then more guessing, then a final round of drawing and a final round of guessing before points are totalled: your score is how many boards you guessed from other players, minus the amount (if any) of your own boards still left in front you, unclaimed.

Trying to figure out how to draw some of the more difficult words can be tricky...

There's a huge deck of cards with six words on each one, so plenty of variety to be had. The gameplay experience is always the same though - kind of manic!
Sam says
Some games do exactly what they say on the tin, and Doodle Rush is one of those. Furiously drawing, wildly guessing, unable to comprehend someone else's scribble and simultaneously incredulous they can't see that you've drawn some pepperoni, or a moose. The winner is almost irrelevant; it's about the silliness and frantic fun.
