Apples to Apples

Apples to Apples is a party game for 4 to 10 players. The entire game consists of two decks of cards, things and descriptions.
Each player has a hand of thing cards; a thing can be anything at all – carrots, Tony Blair, Scunthorpe United (assuming you’re playing with the UK edition).
One player is judge for the round, and reveals a description card. This is one word, which might be ‘beautiful’, ‘tiresome’, ‘shiny’ etc. All the other players secretly choose a thing card and hand it to the judge – the judge shuffles the things and reads them one by one, then chooses the thing he/she thinks best fits the description. That player becomes the next judge, and gets the description card as a point. The first player to get a set number of points wins.
Sam says
Apples to Apples is incredibly simple, but works brilliantly with the right crowd. The key is that the judge can decide on a whim which thing fits best – and it’s important to play to the judge. Great fun, and the game comes with so many cards it will carry you through a lifetime of parties, though some of the cards may lose their topicality after a few years.

Take That!
It's galling when your 'perfect' thing is passed over by the judge in favour of another. But hey, it's a party game!
-
Fidget Factor!
No downtime. Just laughs.

Brain Burn!
None.

Again Again!
There are stacks of cards in the box, and it's really all about the people you play with.
