League of the Lexicon

League of the Lexicon is a quiz game where wordy knowledge – or at least, some educated guesswork – stands you in good stead for a victory.
Players – or teams – take turns rolling a die to determine which question they’re asked on from the huge deck of question cards. If you get the answer right, you draw an artefact card as reward, and collecting the artefacts that match your character card, you win!
Them’s the rules, but obviously the delight – should you share it – in League of the Lexicon is the questions themselves. There are over 2000 of them and most dwell in the nooks, crannies and backwaters of the English language, where even the wordsmiths amongst us will find themselves speculating more often than knowing the answer.
Sam says
A lovingly-produced and fun undertaking for those of us who find this stuff interesting, which, fortunately for me, I do. I love the care taken over the presentation here and find the questions fascinating. Probably not a game that will raise many laughs or a huge amount of drama, but judged on its’ own merits, this is a quiet delight.

Fidget Factor!
Depends on the number of players, but certainly turns are not long.

Brain Burn!
The rules are incredibly simple.

Again Again!
Multiple questions on each card means it'll take a long time to start even beginning to feel like you know them all - assuming your memory's good enough in the first place!
